We Offered Many Different Programs!

The West Indian Social Club of Hartford offers a wide range of programs that celebrate Caribbean heritage while supporting the educational, cultural, and social needs of the community. Through signature events such as the Black History Program, Founders Day, Celebration Week, the Miss West Indian Scholarship Pageant, cricket activities, and cultural gatherings, the organization provides opportunities for members and visitors to connect with their heritage, build relationships, and strengthen community pride. These programs honor the traditions, achievements, and contributions of West Indian and Caribbean people while creating meaningful experiences for all generations

In addition to its cultural programs, the organization offers educational and community-focused initiatives that help individuals and families thrive. Programs such as Digital Literacy, Education of Our Youth, Health Care Literacy, Immigration and Law resources, Grant Writing workshops, and Small Business Expo activities are designed to empower community members through knowledge, advocacy, and professional development. Anniversary Gala

For 76 years, the West Indian Social Club of Hartford has stood as a beacon of culture, resilience, and community—a home away from home where legacies are built and heritage is celebrated. Step into an evening where Caribbean elegance meets purposeful celebration. Your presence at this gala is a testament to the strength of our diaspora and an investment in the continued vibrancy of Hartford’s cultural landscape. Celebration Week

Each summer, we encourage the Caribbean Diaspora to take a well-earned work break—to celebrate, educate, and preserve traditions. These festivities not only honor culture but also bring economic benefits to Hartford and the State of Connecticut.
